Principal Consultant- Cora McKenzie

Introduced to the disability community from a young age; Cora pursued her passion by seeking a career in disability services. In 2003, she graduated from RMIT University with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Disability. While studying Cora worked in direct care, before moving on to case management and planning. With experience, she was promoted to the management of state funded disability initiatives at the Department of Health and Human Services. In May 2016 Cora joined the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) for the national roll-out of the scheme. Working at an executive level; she established NDIA planning teams and worked with Local Area Coordinators to deliver the scheme. More recently, Cora has enjoyed working in her local community with participants and Support Coordinators at the grassroots level. Independent Support Coordinator- Rebecca McMahon

Bec is a registered Nurse, experienced educator and passionate disability professional; we are so pleased to welcome her to the team. After completing a Bachelor of Nursing in 1990 her love of people and supporting our communities most vulnerable has seen her work across a diverse range of roles in the health sector, both here in Australia and Internationally.

In 2016 Bec jumped head first into all things NDIS and took on a role in Local Area Coordination. She watched the NDIS develop from a pilot project into a national scheme, and underwent intensive staff training which has been integral to her understanding of the system and processes that inform the NDIA. Later, she accepted a role in NDIS Support Coordination within a community health setting closer to home, which solidified her passion for supporting participants to realise the full potential of their NDIS plans. Bec has seen first hand what can be achieved when participants and their families/carers work effectively together, and she brings that collaborative approach to her work with The Planning Collective.

Bec works across the Macedon Ranges, Bacchus Marsh, Sunbury & Melton areas and is currently available on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
